R Campground Inc. is a privately owned and operated campground at 1910 Clark St. It was established in November 1999 with the sole intention of filling a need for a recreational camping area in the Charles City area.
The campground covers approximately 18 acres along the Cedar River and contains an additional 3 acre pond.
R Campground is open from April to November each year. Campers may register for their stay at the yellow registration box by the house located in the campground. Advanced reservations are suggested for busy camping weekends such as Memorial Day Weekend and the 4th of July and the may be made via telephone at (641) 257-0549.
Pets are welcome as long as they are kept on leashes and their owners are willing to clean up after them.
