The campground offers two tetherball areas and a sand volleyball court located next to the Cedar River.  Horseshoe courts are located just east of the campground entrance.

The campground’s 3 acre pond serves as a popular fishing hole.  It’s also a serene setting for a relaxing walk.   Some campers also enjoy a quiet canoe float on the pond. 

A laundromat is located just inside the entrance of the campground.  At the entrance to the campground is the Liquor, Beer, and Tobacco outlet.

A favorite section of the campground dubbed Blackbird Island provides tenters with a scenic view of the Cedar River and a terrific spot from which campers can stargaze at night.   R Campground offers canoe rentals for $25.00 a day and is a great location from which to launch canoes onto the Cedar.  Each campsite contains a picnic table and a fire ring.  Firewood is available, provided to campers, for only $3.00 per bundle.
